Purchasing Opportunity: R & D, new product development (temp to perm)

Our client is a major manufacturing company in the O’Hare airport area of Chicago.  We are looking for a Purchasing professional with five to ten years+ experience in sourcing and procurement of parts and components for engineered prototypes and, at later stages, production of a commercial product.  Experience with components such as water pumps, small motors and related electronics is desired.  BS degree, professional certifications preferred.  Experience working with production and engineering team members desired.  The assignment will run for three to six months, with the potential for conversion to full time.  Rate is negotiable, but in the range of $40.00+ per hour.
